A Look Back at 2016

Happy Friday and happy December 30th! 

​As I sit here this morning and reflect on the whirlwind of a year, that (somehow) is ending this weekend, I can’t help but to feel both abundantly blessed and incredibly humbled. This last year, thanks to your trust and support, and a little bit of elbow grease, I’ve been able to follow my passion to a place I never thought possible. 

Three years ago I was feeling trapped in a box, both by my full time job and my own reservations, and photography as a full time career seemed out of reach. I knew I adored photography, I knew I loved the feeling of sharing the most love filled days with the most amazing couples, but I had no way of knowing just how far my passions could take me. 

This year was nothing short of incredible....

In 2016 alone I shot:
30+ Couple/Family Sessions
18 Weddings 
4 Babies 1st Year Packages
9 Engagements (+ 1 Proposal!)
8 Interior Properties 
3 Seniors
2 Boudoirs 
1 Maternity
1 Business Crew
That makes 84 total sessions and an infinite number of memories in one year, y’all! ​

Some personal favorites of 2016!

In addition to all those amazing session memories, I also have 11 super awesome couples scheduled for 2017 weddings already! PLUS, I taught my very first basic photography class, completely revamped my entire website (ta-da), AND, in my spare time, finally finished my college degree!! My husband and I also started our first huge home renovation project, took amazing trips to both Texas and Mexico, and road mapped a plan to our biggest goal: retiring that man before he's 40.

As I sit here and reflect on this journey so far, I can't help but get emotional.
Y'all, this has been one of the best, most freeing years of my entire life.
